There are a lot of people in this game that are not interested in roleplaying so you really need to find some friends who like to RP and play with them.
Perhaps you can find a guild that is dedicated to RP.

There are RP people out there(a good amount I'd say) it's just that GW doesn't have designated districts for it.

I agree, I think they should have certain districts for RPers.

The roleplay in GW is in the same place as any MMO... Nowhere to be found. If you want serious, immersive roleplaying I suggest Neverwinter Nights, mIRC or tabletop games with your friends. RP in MMOs is doomed to failure: If they added RP districts, it would only become a place for constant poo-fests between idiot kids intent on screwing with the more aggressive, defensive RPers, of which there are always many.

Remember that GW was meant to grab more casual game players, whom of which don't really RP.
I'm usually semi-in-character, but it depends on the group i'm with.

I did make a thread about this and It seems that there are quite alot of role players. We just don't bother role playing in public and thus never find each other. At least what I think.

RP has its appearnces in GW. The problem is finding people committed enough to perpetuate the suspension of disbelief.

As stated in another thread, it seems the general consensus is that until/if we get a Roleplay District, we are using International District.
This has an advantage is several ways.
1) It's not crowded with anyone, virtually empty quite often. If it's going to remain empty, might as well stake an RP claim there where we aren't going to disturb the crowded instances of casual gamers.
2) Once you log into an International Instance that session, I'm finding I automatically drop into International everytime I "gate" to a city. I don't get auto dumped into random instance and then have to "gate" again into a chosen number like say Instance 3. It's automatic.

Bah! What level of role-playing can evolve from interacting with a 1 race world...
There needs to be a variety of races to truly make GW an immersive fantasy RPG experience: All I see are a bunch of human clones with silly looking capes and different hairstyles, break dancing and playing air guitar!

I don't think races are needed for a role playing experience.
Though, I would like more faces, hairstyles, and new types of armor to make our characters unique from the others.

Best thing to do is to start a roleplaying guild and only let roleplayers into it.

Actually, one of the main characteristics of a decent rper is the ability to adapt to any situation and create an interesting rp setting out of even the dullest areas.
I personally think people choose to rp with party chat or the instances in order to avoid the 12 year olds remarks of: "Rofl, newb rpers! Shut up lol!"
This would explain why you do not see rping taking place in this game.
